May a friend commit us to an institution.

All of us, women, should have a friend who is ...
- sweet enough to support us when we are unhappy, sad, unemployed, abandoned, shattered;
- ethical enough not to try to seduce our husband or boyfriend;
- crazy enough to change a SPA vacation in southern France and accompany us on a spiritual retreat;
- sincere enough to hurt us when our ego is in the stratosphere and we think we're the greatest;
- enlightened enough not to envy us and be happy with our success;
- generous enough to forgive us when we make mistakes, and accept us as we are;
- sensible enough not to let us cut or dye our hair or get close to any shoe store when we are depressed;
- brave enough to go out with us when we're PMS, to eat a pint of Haagen Dazs ice cream and three bars of Belgian chocolate;
- lucid enough not to let us get to sixty thinking we are thirty;
- honest enough not to let us put Botox nor have three hundred plastic surgeries that will make us unrecognizable and pathetic;
- firm enough to commit us to an institution if we try to go out with a micro-satin dress and 15cm high heels.
